Do you have a friend that you don't talk to often, but when you do it's just so easy again and you remember all you love about them? Or, you see pictures of them in an email or on a blog and you just smile and think to yourself "I'm so lucky to know that person!"? I have a few of those. I think you know who you are. If you're reading this know that I love you despite all my excuses for being a non-communicator. Thank goodness for those kind of friends! Here are just two of them that I stumbled across today:

For April Fools dinner I made a meatloaf birthday cake (with mashed potato frosting and carrot and peas sprinkles) and then we had fruit pizza for dessert. They thought it was so funny--especially when Luke found out that we were having cake for dinner. I think it even helped them eat it better--they usually don't like meatloaf!
